This campout, we will be focusing on skills and advancement for Scouts who are attending, as well as giving them opportunities to hike, fish, and enjoy nature by the lakeside.
In the morning, we will be doing a 5-mile group hike around the Coyote Run and Limestone Ridge hiking trails.
In the afternoon, we will be doing an axe yard for the new patrol who still need it for their Totin Chip, and we will be doing requirement 6 for second class (first aid) for those who need this requirement.
We will also have lake access via our campsite for Scouts interested in fishing. Finally, we will end the day with a campfire.
This is one of the shortest drives to a weekend camp, just 1 hour away. We will be in the Group Campsite next to the North Creek Camping area. Parking is right there, so no long hikes with troop and personal gear.
